Textiles: Level 1

Textiles Level 1 is the first step in the completion of the Textile & Design Program of Study.  This course is designed to introduce to the student basic clothing construction techniques. Little or no prior sewing knowledge is necessary as students will choose and provide their own projects and progress at their own rate. Students will engage in the study of “Clothes & Fashion” and “Consumers of Clothing”. Completion of this course will provide the student with the skills to produce professional clothing/textile products, identify quality ready-made clothing/textile products, mend and make simple alterations.
